Residential Interior Design Project
Bucharest. 2010
70 sqm. 1 bedroom apartment

This interior and furniture design project outlines contrast in it's every form. From light to dark, soft to rough, warm to cold or shine to shade, this minimal apartment has a sleek and contemporary atmosphere . The challenge was to create a unique spatial experience, alternating finishes and materials from very different areas of use. Both high-end materials such as natural wood, silk, glossy MDF, stone; and innovative composites like epoxy resin, plastic, plexiglass and veneer for the glossy dark walls were used. The residence was rather small, so we created a flowing open space with hidden storage space and dark colour accents. Regarding all, furniture, finishes and

This interior space was designed to outline the idea of "home". We created a cozy, warm and relaxed atmosphere, blended with african and asian elements and decorations. The owners are true globe trotters and love to bring different objects from all of their journeys to decorate their home. We created a neutral, open space in which all of these cultural and traditional decorations to find their place and blend together in this urban eclectic home. The finishes and furniture are made from natural, high-end materials such as palisander natural wood for the flooring, ebony wood for the living room furniture and marble mosaic for the

The design of this apartment uses both retro and contemporary elements to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The chromatic choices were neutral, a bunch of coloured greys and a couple of red and yellow accents to complete this cozy look. The travertine dinning and coffee tables, the vintage natural wood used to decorate the walls, along with the vintage cuts of the furniture give the space a 70' movie look. But then, you pay attention at the detailing: modern industrial lightning systems, the extremely low bed, the

and decorations, the idea was to create a mix of contrasting elements: joining the warm oak wood floor we placed glossy black MDF pieces of furniture. The walls are either pure satin white, either shiny anthracite / bordeaux. However, some "soft spots" were carefully placed inside the rooms to add more warmth to the space: the light textile sofa is decorated with velvet cushions, as the wall behind the bed was upholstered with grey silk. The lights are contrasting as well, either floating white blobs, either soft and hidden for a more intimate feel.
bathrooms. All the textile elements inside the apartment are made of natural fibbers, to add to this cozy intimate feel. To complete this "urban jungle" look, we added natural exotic plants and indirect hidden lighting systems. This design brings out the cultural pieces of art inside the apartment and at the same time blends in the idea of warm cozy home.
wide modern sofa, the epoxy resin floors or the Louis XV chairs designed by Philippe Starck for Kartell. All this mixed with the retro elements create a unique eclectic feel, adding elegance and poise to the spatial experience. We used the south orientation of the windows to add warmth to the rooms, adding viscose caramel curtains to help increase the sunshine effect.

This special project creates a unique emotional experience of the living space. The challenge was to create an organic lighting system inside a minimal all white apartment. White floors, white walls and white furniture, the interior needed some vivid colours added in order to match the personality of the young owner. So, we came up with this RGB LED & Barrisol lighting system built within the ceiling, walls and floor. The shapes create a flowing open space and at the same time, they guide you throughout the apartment. The

The colours can be changed according to your needs and mood. They can be either electric and vivid, either reproduce sunlight for a more intimate feel. This way, the space becomes chameleonic, it changes it's atmosphere through light, according to your everyday mood, emotions and needs.

This interior and furniture design project outlines an uptown contemporary atmosphere. We started with a neutral structure and then added up some unique posh and glamorous elements to match up the owner's dashing personality. The colour palette was based on beige and grey tones, spiced up with the walnut wood that one can find in every room. In order to enhance the elegance and refined look, we used silver decorations and a lot of mirrors to open up the space. We needed a lot of storage space, so we hid it behind

neo pop paintings or glass lightened walls. The warm, yet posh feel was developed with the help of high-end finishes and the softness of the fabrics used. The green wall inside the dinning area brings vitality and fresh vibes to the space. Opposite it, the dinning room table, P O L Y V I S I O N -the table - , our newest design, adds up to the uptown contemporary poise of the place.
